Privacy Policy — K2 Help Law
This Privacy Policy explains how OASIS INFOTECH (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the K2 Help Law Android app, iOS app, and website k2helplaw.com (the “Services”). By using the Services you agree to this policy.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for cross-app or cross-site advertising tracking. The iOS app does not use App Tracking Transparency or an advertising identifier for tracking.
1. Information we collect
a. Account and profile
We collect your phone number to sign you in with a one-time password (OTP). If you complete or edit your profile, we may also store your name, email address, role, and city.
b. Location (while you use the app)
If you allow location, we use it while the app is open to find police stations near you and, optionally, to show your position on the travel-diary map. If you save a map pin, we store the coordinates you chose with that diary entry. We do not track your location after you leave the app.
c. Photos, files, and KYC
If you photograph or attach identity documents or form files, we collect those images or documents for verification and the feature you are using. On iOS the document picker may use the camera or photo library. On Android it may use the camera, files, or gallery, as you choose.
d. Voice and speech
If you use dictation or voice search, we process microphone audio and convert it to text (on-device and, for some languages, through our speech provider) to fill notes, diary entries, or search.
e. Device and notifications
We collect a push-notification token and basic device information so we can deliver reminders and service notifications you enable (for example Firebase Cloud Messaging).
f. Usage
We record which legal content and features you open (for example acts, sections, or forms) so we can operate and improve the catalogue. This is tied to your account.
g. User content you create
Diary entries, travel-diary notes, bookmarks, reminders, form requests, and similar content you save are stored so the feature works across sessions.
2. Payments and payment gateways
How you pay depends on the platform. We use that only to take payment and to turn premium features on or off. We do not receive your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or Apple ID password.
iOS — Apple In-App Purchase
On iPhone and iPad, payment is processed only by Apple. There is no Razorpay or UPI checkout in the iOS app. Apple charges your Apple ID. We receive subscription status and App Store transaction identifiers (and related signed transaction data) so we can activate premium access, restore purchases, and handle renewals or refunds Apple notifies us about. Apple’s privacy policy applies to the App Store payment: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
Android — Razorpay
On Android, payment is processed by Razorpay (our payment gateway). You may pay with UPI (UPI app or QR) or card through Razorpay checkout. We create an order on our servers, open Razorpay, and then store payment status and identifiers (such as Razorpay order ID, payment ID, and method type) so we can activate or restore your subscription. Razorpay, your bank, or your UPI app may collect card or UPI details directly. Razorpay’s privacy policy applies to checkout: https://razorpay.com/privacy/
Website
If you pay on k2helplaw.com, that charge is processed by the gateway shown at checkout (which may include Razorpay). The same rule applies: we keep order and payment status, not your full card or UPI secrets.
We keep purchase history (plan, dates, amount, platform, and payment-reference IDs) with your account for entitlement, support, accounting, and dispute handling.
3. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- create and secure your account (OTP, session);
- deliver legal-reference content and premium features you paid for;
- process and confirm payments through Apple or Razorpay, as applicable;
- complete KYC or form uploads you start;
- show nearby stations or diary map points you request;
- convert voice to text when you use dictation;
- send reminders and service notifications you enable;
- improve the product and diagnose problems;
- contact you about the Service using the phone or email on your account (you may opt out of non-essential messages);
- meet legal, tax, and accounting duties.
4. Sharing
We share information with processors who help us run the Services, only as needed:
- Apple, for iOS In-App Purchase;
- Razorpay, for Android (and website, if used) payments;
- hosting and database providers;
- Firebase / Google, for push notifications and related device messaging;
- speech-to-text providers when you use cloud dictation.
Those parties process data under their own terms and policies. We do not sell personal information to advertisers.
5. Retention and security
We keep account, content, and purchase records while your account is active and as long as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, or meet law. Payment-card and UPI secrets are retained by Apple or Razorpay, not in our app database as full credentials.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
6. Your choices
- Device permissions (location, camera, photos/files, microphone, speech, notifications) can be denied or changed in Android Settings or iOS Settings.
- iOS subscription: manage or cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or use Manage Subscriptions and Restore Purchases in the app.
- Android subscription: payment and refund questions go through the app support contact and Razorpay / your bank or UPI app as applicable.
- You can delete your account in the app: Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes the account and associated data we hold, subject to any legal retention duty (for example payment records we must keep).
7. Children
The Services are intended for adults. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Legal content
Legal information is sourced from freely available government resources for reference. It may contain errors or be out of date. Do not treat it as legal advice.
